Jim Wilson
Jim Wilson is responsible for designing and delivering consulting projects ranging from Supply Chain Risk and Opportunity Quantifications to start-up assistance for new businesses. His prior experience includes: Executive Director for Trade Management consulting for J.P. Morgan Chase; Vice President of Operations Management and International Trade Management for Vastera, Inc. prior to its acquisition by J.P. Morgan; CEO of Quantum International a global supply chain and regulatory compliance consulting and services company prior to its purchase by Vastera, Inc., a software and services company.
Over the last 15 years Jim designed, started, staffed, trained and mentored 12 consulting operations globally. Jim held numerous positions as an IBM Executive over 25 years: Global Practice Leader for the IBM Consulting Group’s International Trade Management Consulting Practice; Manager of IBM Corporate Logistics Strategy; Controller for IBM World Trade Corporation’s US operations; Financial Planning Manager for Printing Systems R&D and Manufacturing; World Wide IBM Pricing Manager for Intermediate 370 Systems. As the Controller for IBM’s World Trade Corporation’s International Purchasing Office and Distribution Center, Jim managed all the financial affairs associated with multi-billion dollar annual US import and export transactions, inventory control, inter-company billings, letters of credit and audit/control activities.
Jim has led numerous successful consulting engagements in global supply chain management ranging from global strategies to complex import and export regulatory compliance engagements saving clients hundreds of millions of dollars. Prior clients include companies from aerospace, retail, consumer goods, automotive, computer, telecommunications, industrial machinery, heavy equipment, oil service and petroleum industries. Jim has conducted over 400 trade compliance and supply chain engagements ranging from big box retailers to global aerospace and defense companies.
