Ron Bonial.
Ron Bonial’s areas of expertise are: intercultural adaptation assessment, selection, & personnel development services. He is a certified assessor using the Global Competencies Inventory instrument. It measures leadership competencies of corporate managers and global leaders in areas critical to interacting and working effectively with people from different cultures. Ron has worked in the field of assessment, selection and training of corporate expatriates and their families for several decades. He has been instrumental in conducting ongoing research to provide continuous verification of the factors that support positive intercultural adjustment. He works closely with the international human resource departments of Fortune 500 companies to assist in the development of procedures that support the selection of quality expatriates for long term international assignment.
Mr. Bonial’s forte is in the design of practical training modules based on research in the areas of transition, adult learning and managing the challenges associated with intercultural adjustment. He has also been responsible for working with Youth Training Programs to help youth understand and develop strategies for dealing with the transition to a new culture. He developed and delivered one-day training programs on maintaining positive spousal and family communication while on a long-term international assignment. Mr. Bonial is a Licensed School Psychologist in the State of Colorado. He received his M.A. in Education and Psychology from the University of South Florida, Tampa and he completed one year of post-masters work at the University of Colorado, Boulder with an emphasis in advanced assessment and counseling techniques.
Mr. Bonial is also a Certified Mediator and he serves as a personnel mediator and diversity trainer for a large metropolitan school district. He has been instrumental in writing and receiving grants to fund programs for Violence Prevention and supporting students in transitions. He has also conducted training programs on the topics of Effective Performance Appraisal, Cultural Diversity, Mediation, Behavior and Personality Assessment and Mentorship Programs.
